Can you help me with an O'Reilly e-books "free trial" error?

Answer

When you first register for O'Reilly e-books, we recommend you DO NOT REGISTER FOR A FREE TRIAL. If you register for a trial, your account will be limited to excerpts and preview content, instead of the full book through Northeastern.

To set up your account, see instructions here.

If you are seeing this error:

Your free trial of the O’Reilly online learning membership has ended. Become a member to get unlimited access to all of O’Reilly online learning

Then, to solve this error:

Contact O'Reilly directly to have them reset your account from trial to Northeastern institutional access. You may cut and paste the following sample note, filling in your own information as appropriate:

Hello,

I'm a current student (or staff/faculty) at Northeastern University, which has an institutional subscription to O’Reilly, but I am currently locked out of my account.

My email address is _______@northeastern.edu (or ______@nchlondon.ac.uk)

Could you check if my account is incorrectly registered and adjust it as needed?

Thanks,

Your name

Email your note to support@oreilly.com.  Normally the account can be adjusted within one business day.
