Question: Does the Library hire student employees?

Yes, both Snell Library and F.W. Olin Library regularly hire student employees!

All of the library’s student job listings, part-time and work study, are posted in Northeastern’s Student Employment system.  All library student job applications are processed through Workday.

You can access job listings:

  • Through the Student Employment Website:  Select "Find a job."  In the Workday system, from the menu, select "Job and Careers Hub".
  • Through the Northeastern Student Hub:  Select the "Resources" tab and then "Careers and Employment" and you will see Campus Employment and Work Study.

Note: Pay attention to the campus location filters to ensure you're applying for a job on the correct campus.

If you don't see something suitable right away, you can set up a "Job Alert" to be notified whenever there are new openings.

For questions about using the system, please contact the Office of Student Employment, Graduate Assistantships and Fellowships.

Only applications submitted through the Workday system will be considered for employment, no walk-in resumes are accepted. Please do not contact individual library staff directly seeking employment at any of the libraries at Northeastern.

Thank you for your interest in working at the University Library.
