Question: How do I download files from the Digital Repository Service (DRS)?

There are a few different ways to download files in the DRS:A screenshot of the download options in grid view

  • From a file’s details page: Click the file type button in the Downloads section at the bottom of the page.
  • From the search and browse results pages in List View: Click the file type button to the right of the title for the file you would like to download.
  • From the search and browse results pages in Grid View: Click the “Downloads” button below the title and click the file type you would like to download.

All browsers behave a little differently, so you may need to right click the file type button and select the save option to trigger a download.

You may download many files at once by adding them to your Download Queue. The Download Queue is a temporary list of files that can be downloaded in a single ZIP file, like a digital shopping card. Files added to your Download Queue will remain in the queue until you sign out or close your browser. Files can be added to your Download Queue by clicking the download icon (check box and down arrow) to the right of any file type. When you are ready to download all the files in your Download Queue, click the Download Queue button to the left of the user or Login button in the top right corner of the page.

More information about downloading files may be found in the DRS subject guide.
