Question: I need to assign a film for my class to watch. Can you get access for us?

We may be able to supply films for your course, depending on licensing and lead time. To request a film:

First, search your film by title in Scholar OneSearch to see if it is already available through one of our providers. We have access to many providers of film content, including Swank, Kanopy, AVON, and Docuseek2

If you find a film, as an instructor, you can use Leganto, our course list software, to connect it to your course in Canvas:

  • Click on the "Leganto" button in Scholar OneSearch and log in when prompted. Add it to the listing for your class.  (Figure 1 below)
  • In Canvas, use the Leganto button to connect the list to your course if it's not already attached.   (Figure 2 below)

If you do not see your film in Scholar OneSearch, or you're not sure how to interpret the information there, contact your subject librarian about access and licensing. Please request films with the library a month before you are assigning them to your class.
