Current Northeastern University students, faculty and staff with a valid Husky Card have 24 hour access to Snell Library's building.

Boston Library Consortium card holders and SHARES member registered visitors (Beginning January 6, 2025), as well as Northeastern alumni and retired faculty and staff have access to Snell Library until 15 minutes before the end of Library Service Desk hours

You can view the current Visitor Access Policy for Snell Library on the library website.

Visiting scholars can register for borrowing privileges using the Library Privileges form at least 48 hours in advance of their visit, or they can visit the Help and Information Desk in person with a valid Husky Card to register for a library account.

Access to Snell Library is open to members of the public who demonstrate a specific need to use its resources in person. Visit Northeastern University’s Policy on Snell Library Public Access for more information.
