Question: Does the Library have passes to local museums or attractions? Last Updated: Jan 27, 2025 Views: 454
Northeastern students may be able to get passes for museums and attractions from your local public libraries, for example:
- Boston MA area students: see the Boston Public Library Museum Passes Program
- Oakland, CA area see the Oakland Public Library Museum Passes
Note the Northeastern Library does not administer museum or attraction passes.
Art galleries:
Boston - Northeastern University is a member of both the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. Undergraduates and graduate students have free access; check their websites for hours and ticket instructions.
The Harvard Art Museums and Brandeis Rose Art Gallery are highly acclaimed museums in the Greater Boston area that are free and open to the public.
Oakland - The Mills College Art Museum on the Northeastern University Oakland campus is free for both Northeastern University affiliates and the public. See their website for hours and exhibit information.
Many Bay Area museums offer free days, usually in the first week of the month. You may have to show proof of Bay Area residency, so be sure to keep a piece of postmarked mail addressed to you at the campus address for this purpose.
