If you're evaluating whether a website is an appropriate source for academic research, ask yourself six key questions about the source:
What is the website about?
Who wrote it?
When was it written?
Where was it published?
Why was it written?
How was the information collected?
For more information about these questions and how to evaluate websites for use in academic research, view the short video or PDF below. You might also want to save this handout of questions to ask as you're evaluating websites for your research.
