Does the library or the university offer funding to help Northeastern authors pay for open access publishing charges?

Answer

Some publishers offer a discount on their open access publishing charges to Northeastern-affiliated authors because of the library’s journal subscriptions or memberships. View a list of the publishers the Library has agreements with.

In many cases, publishers permit authors to post a version of their articles on their personal or university websites, or in an online repository. Check your author contract, the journal’s information for authors on their website, or this database of publisher policies about self-archiving in Northeastern's Digital Repository Service.

Open access publishing charges may also be included in grant proposals.
