If I want to submit an article to a journal Northeastern has an open access agreement with and have my article processing charge covered (APC), should I use my Northeastern email address?

Answer

Yes. Please always use your Northeastern e-mail address as it will help identify you as a member of the Northeastern community and eligible for our agreements. Some publishers identify you by the university affiliation you enter, and others may use a system called Ringgold to identify authors’ affiliation. If an author from Northeastern University in Shenyang China, asks to have their article made open access, the Ringgold system would correctly identify them as ineligible for open access agreements negotiated for our Northeastern community.

Details for all publishers that the Library has open access agreements with can be found on the Open Access Publishing Page.
